Real Japanese for real travel

Travel Japanese that works when you are hungry, tired, lost, and trying to be polite.

Travel Japanese does not need to be huge. It needs to be useful. This section teaches the phrases and words that help first-time visitors move through Japan more smoothly: stations, restaurants, convenience stores, hotel counters, and those little moments where one good sentence changes everything.

How to use this section

1

Learn the quick wins first

Start with the most useful phrases at the top of each page. Use those first in the real world.

2

Repeat the lesson cards aloud

Read the Japanese, check the kana, use the romaji, then say the phrase out loud two or three times.

3

Use the “when to use it” notes

Travel Japanese works best when you know the social moment, not just the dictionary meaning.
